Big Bob Glancy is the biggest character EVER. You’ll be amazed at his useless Cliff Claven like knowledge, his self confidence, and his heart. Bob is one the nicest guys out there. But man, is he strange.

One night in Hollywood, we were out drinking on the strip, and concluded the night at Mel’s diner at 2 a.m. There were 10 of us, all comics, some friends, some new friends, and Big Bob, who had been playing Big Bob to the tenth power. The place was packed, and in L.A., stars are everywhere, so I assumed that if I played Bob’s character to the tenth power, then we’d have something.

Bob made it easy. He went out side for a smoke, and when he returned, I stood in my seat, and in my best ring announcer voice, yelled “Ladies and Gentlemen, Big Bob Glancy!” The diner was amazed, and began cheering wildly. I repeated this exercise around 6 times.

A large portion of the people there really thought Bob was a star. What’s even funnier is that I think Bob thought he was one too. I think we gave it away when we left in his 1984 Subaru Loyale Wagon.
