As the token younger sibling, Comedian Shane Kinney began entertaining audiences in the sandbox to fill his already inexhaustible appetite for attention. Shane soon honed his talent in ways to get his sister punished for misdeeds she did not commit, by rubbing his face raw when Mom pulled into the driveway to execute the perfect drama.
The lust for melodrama soon waned, and Shane found other ways to entertain. He began writing and performing sketch comedy in Junior high school, transposing A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court into a comedy. Through guidance by some wonderful teachers, he performed stand up comedy for the first time at the age of 14. As Shane pursued musical interests, his comedy career was put on hold, only to be resurrected at the age of 22.
It was obvious that the fire still burned, and Shane jumped into the fray of the New England comedy scene and instilled pant wetting riots on innocent audience members through his observational and biographical humor. From his painfully honest depictions of an under privileged childhood to his approach of single life in his 20’s, Kinney has won over crowds by simply being himself.
Based out of Boston, Shane has opened for major national headliners on the east coast, and in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. He is also a professional drummer, and master of several dialects, which has gotten him several radio, voice-over and TV spots. His act is not one to be missed!!!!!
